SEO for law firms and accountants from Fuse Optimisation
- 8 January 2009
Almost all Britons say they frequently use search engines to find information and websites on the Internet with about two thirds preferring natural listings over paid-for ads or sponsored links.
A new study revealed the findings that also showed the majority of the UK population were baffled that search engine optimisation on websites can affect results they see when searching.
Other survey conclusions:
- 38% of searchers consciously ignore paid-for search adverts
- 24% believed publishers of websites could not affect search listing results
- 22% thought results were ordered by how much websites paid to be listed
- 19% had no idea how results were compiled
Many in the survey would not know that firms such as Fuse Optimisation can build sustainable, highly-placed positions in the search engines for companies seeking return on investment in online marketing.
About 1600 people were surveyed in the online poll by Fasthosts, a UK web hosting provider.
According to most recent statistics, there are at least 29,000 searches made every minute on Google in the UK with natural SEO attracting higher levels of investment as companies start to recognise the importance of natural search.
Fuse's e-business marketing manager Mark Chapman said, "Search engine use continues to rise. It is important for companies to develop search engine optimisation as a tool to attract new customers and website visitors, to connect with consumers and professionals looking for information and products."
Fuse Optimisation specialises in natural search engine optimisation to generate sales for clients, including SEO for accountants and for law firms, as well as for the financial services sector.
