SEO firms news - Online shopping discount vouchers proving successful
- 4 November 2009
Web surfers are searching for cheaper deals on the high street by searching for discount vouchers via search engines such as Google, Bing and Yahoo!
For companies looking to boost sales - and SEO firms - it is important they consider optimising their websites to achieve decent positions within the search engines to reap business benefits.
Research by Hitwise, an internet research firm, shows that many more people have been using the search term "discount vouchers" over the past year. Use of the keyphrase has grown by almost 50%.
Shoppers and diners are looking for better deals at retailers, restaurants, days out and other purchases with money-off vouchers found online.
A Hitwise spokesman said, "Consumer behaviour has changed so that people are looking online to research a product, looking at where to find the best price and finally doing a search to see if there is a voucher for it."
SEO firms can help businesses achieve visibility on the search engines for their online discount vouchers.
